Endurance Factors
Actual endurance depends on NAND type (SLC > MLC > TLC > QLC), write amplification factor (WAF), and over-provisioning. WAF > 1 means more writes go to NAND than the host writes, reducing effective endurance.
Warranty vs Endurance
The warranty period (years) and TBW rating are independent limits. The SSD is covered until EITHER limit is reached. A 5-year warranty with 600 TBW means if you write 600 TB in 2 years, the endurance limit is hit first.
